2026 Proposed Budget: The Catawissa Township proposed budget for 2026 has been prepared and approved by the Catawissa Township Board of Supervisors and is open to inspection at the Municipal Building’s outdoor bulletin board and the Township’s website. The final budget for 2026 will be adopted at the Township meeting to be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Catawissa Township Municipal building, 153 Old Reading Road, Catawissa. Public Hearing – Floodplain Ordinance

NOTICE OF CATAWISSA TOWNSHIP’S PROPOSED FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given by the Board of Supervisors of Catawissa Township of the intention to act upon the following proposed ordinance:

FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT ORDINANCES REQUIRING ALL PERSONS, PARTNERSHIPS, BUSINESSES, AND CORPORATIONS TO OBTAIN A PERMIT FOR ANY CONSTRUCTION OR DEVELOPMENT; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF SUCH PERMITS; SETTING FORTH CERTAIN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT WITHIN AREAS OF THE Catawissa tOWNSHIP WHICH ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING; AND ESTABLISHING PENALTIES FOR ANY PERSONS WHO FAIL, OR REFUSE TO COMPLY WITH, THE REQUIREMENTS OR PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.

A hearing will be held for the proposed Ordinance by the Catawissa Township Supervisors on April 9, 2024 at the Catawissa Township Building located at 153 Old Reading Road, Catawissa, PA. at 11:30 am. A complete copy of the Ordinance is on file with this newspaper and can be obtained at the Catawissa Township Building located at 153 Old Reading Road, Catawissa, PA. by calling the Township Sectretary.

The Board of Supervisors will consider the Ordinance for adoption at a meeting to be held at the Catawissa Township Building located at 153 Old Reading Road, Catawissa, PA. on April 9, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
